Aishath Naj

Naj is a professional photographer from the island of Hithadhoo in Addu City, the southernmost atoll in the Maldivian archipelago. Self-taught, over the past decade Naj has developed a reputation as one of the most prominent female photographers in her country, working with high profile clients - both domestic and international - on a wide range of projects.

Her experience covers commercial, aerial, landscape and architectural photography, while she has also recently moved into videography projects, continuing to build upon fruitful partnerships with the Maldives’ world-famous luxury resorts.

Aside from commercial work, Naj is also co-creator of the Two Thousand Isles project, which works to document Maldivian island life and culture in the face of significant social and environmental change.
